On March 23rd, 2024 we celebrated my 80th birthday in the Waldhaus. Three months beforehand we looked at several alternative locations and decided on the Waldhaus. The decisive factors were the friendly and courteous contact, the price-performance ratio (there was no room rental fee) and the charm of the hotel complex.Permanent and hotel accommodation in one place is a great advantage. Breakfast was served to our guests in a separate room, which was perceived as familiar and very communicative.We had 60 guests registered, but in the end there were only 42 people - reducing it was no problem. The “Four Seasons” event room was large and had six tables. There was always a space available for changing, which was very conducive to communication.The two people serving staff were extremely polite and very attentive, which was particularly emphasized by all the guests. Excellent food, good drinks and happy guests contributed to an all-round successful celebration. We would like to thank the entire Waldhaus team and would be happy to recommend you to others.

Liked  · I had one overnight stay on my way from Regensburg to Kiel, and this hotel was perfectly located for a short drive the next day. Spacious room, great beds and a good size bathroom. I enjoyed an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Very generous parking outside the hotel.

All the facilities of the hotel are neat and classy. The breakfast is excellent. All the ingredients are fresh and of good quality, and all the food is neatly set. The ladies at reception are very friendly! We had to inform the restaurant staff that we wanted to reorder drinks, the food didn't arrive until very late, other guests were given priority (it was probably because of the Lamborghini that the trio of guests had parked in front of the hotel). The food was good. The breakfast was very good, even though it was very hectic there on the day of our departure (Sunday) and some things didn't really go smoothly, the stay was pleasant.A small note: the fountain in front of the house is active from 6 a.m.... Don't forget earplugs in summer as there is no air conditioning and you have to sleep with the window open.....Rooms: We had a premium room. The bathroom or shower was the highlight!Safety: We felt very safe at all times.Food & drinks: Quite expensive
