Wow what an experience. John and Michael have been such amazing hosts.The trip started with a thorough induction of the boat and the area and the significance of the area to the indigenous people. This is all before you even get to experience all the wonders this area has to showcase. You get expert guidance on what areas to go to for safety and thrills. The area has some of the best snorkeling I have done and I am well traveled.We booked aboard SV Lawless which is a 42’ Sailing Lagoon, wow what a boat. We had 7 people aboard and found plenty of space.The boat handles exceptionally well under sail or motor.Our booking was for two weeks and we still did not get to see all the wonders this experience has to offer.We will be back. Thanks for the memories.

A magical week on board Portland Roads, from the moment we stepped on board John and Danny were great taking us through everything we needed to know for our trip. I was impressed with the contact we received whilst out on our trip ensuring our family was safe at all times. This trip was a tick off the bucket list and I would highly recommend these guys they really do go above and beyond to make your holiday one to remember.

Touring the Whitsundays on Lawless through Portland Roads was one of the best experiences of my life! John and Mike were incredible. John was awesome to speak to regarding the booking process, making it seamless and easy to book through him. Mike provided us with excellent advice about where to sail to during our 6 day adventure on Lawless. The Portland Roads team's first priority was for us to have a safe and fun experience and I cannot thank them enough! This experience is something everyone should do at least once in their lifetime.

This was easily one of the best experiences of my life. Sailing around the incredible Whitsundays on a luxury boat with some of my best mates. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. Brad was amazing, an absolute top bloke who prioritised us having a ripper time. He made the briefing experience so easy to understand. Throughout the week he was continuously checking in with us each day and using his expertise to ensure we visited the best places and had the best experience. Brad you are an absolute legend!!

Me and 6 of my friends stayed on whitsunday freedom for 6 nights and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Brad was incredibly helpful to us the entire journey and made us feel so safe and genuinely cared about our experience above anything else. The boat was immaculate. 10/10 would recomend for everyone to do and use Portland roads for a seamless experience.

I cannot rate Portland Roads highly enough. We had the week of our lives on Whitsunday Freedom and can’t wait to be back.John was awesome through the whole booking process and helped us out with all our questions - he was a pleasure to deal with.We also cannot thank Brad enough for everything he did for us during the week. From the first steps on the boat, to the in depth briefing, to navigating us through our amazing week on the water, even in horrendous weather, Brad was great. We booked Whitsunday Freedom for 6 nights and John was incredibly easy and thorough in all of his emails regarding the boat. Couldn’t speak higher of the booking process.When we arrived, Brad was on top of everything. Even with a cyclone pending - his highest priority was us having a good time. The spacious layout also made mealtimes enjoyable, with plenty of room for dining together.Modern amenities like SMEG kitchen appliances, a built-in ice maker, and a water-maker brought a touch of home to the trip. The onboard generator ensured these conveniences were always available, adding to the ease of life at sea.The Portland Roads Sailing team provided outstanding support from start to finish. Their clear communication and detailed briefings made the experience smooth and stress-free, giving us the confidence to explore the Whitsundays at our own pace.Overall, SV Lawless offers a fantastic mix of luxury, relaxation, and adventure. If you're looking for an unforgettable way to experience the Whitsundays, this is a top choice!Nara Inlet, Chance Bay, Whitehaven and Chalkies were favourite stops on the trip.
