We had a great time on the Portland Roads hopping from one island to the other in the Whitsundays. Plenty of snorkeling, swimming, fishing and walking. Staff member Mike was extremely helpful with his suggestions on where to sail, where to anchor and especially on all aspects in the sailing of the Portland Roads.Thoroughly recommend.

Cruising around the beautiful Whitsundays in Portland Roads was one of the best holiday experiences. Portland Roads has fantastic facilities and plenty of room. The beds are very comfortable and spacious. We were able to visit many beautiful spots in the Whitsundays thanks to our wonderful skipper John! John exceeded expectation and was the best skipper anyone could ask for! Definitely a must do trip!

Sensational! The team at Portland Roads are second to none... The boat was sensational in all regards... The briefing was concise and informative, the location... We'll, sublime and exquisite seem somewhat inadequate! Best Whitsundays bare boat trip ever... and it's far from being my first! Portland Roads will definately be my first port of call for any future charters.

Had a wonderful time on Ruby Sunday with 3 other couples. The Whitsundays is a most beautiful place, and being able to spend time in the secluded and sheltered bays and inlets, while snorkelling and fishing was a real experienced that ticked off a long standing bucket list item. The Portland Roads team in Mike and Deano offered us all the help and assistance we needed, while not being too intrusive into our daily activities. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. The Ruby Sunday was to operate and the sailing easy once the crew had completed the rudimentary sailing training, as most had never sailed before.

Recently we were lucky enough to experience our dream of sailing around the Whitsunday Islands. We chose Portland Roads for their offer of a Platinum Package on a luxury boat. This included a brilliant menu and drinks package which suited us down to the ground. All meals were cooked and served to us by our wonderful chef "our skipper ". We certainly were not disappointed, the meals were amazing and we were spoilt rotten. I have a food allergy which is always a concern when I go on holidays but it was 100% catered for in all my meals which was a great relief. Nothing was too much trouble for our skipper who presented us with a 5 star service. He served us champagne at sunset on the deck, took us to the most secluded lovely little spots around the islands for our overnight stays, took us to the best snorkelling spots (hand feeding the Angel fish was amazing). We always felt we were in safe hands with our skipper so it was easy to sit back relax and enjoy. Definintely a holiday to remember and would love to do it all over again with Portland Roads.

We arrived at Abell Point Marina mid-afternoon and were welcomed by Mike & Ruby who were both very accommodating. My husband & I have never done bareboating/sailing before and must admit we were a little worried but Mike made us feel comfortable and assured us everything will be fine. He was thorough with his instructions on how to operate the boat and kept us updated of the weather conditions etc everyday. The boat has tons of space and very well maintained. Absolutely loved the outdoor dining, the deck and the BBQ! Food has never tasted so good until you've tried it off the BBQ on the back of the boat. My husband even cooked for the first time in about 5 years. The kitchen is fully equipped and with ample fridge/freezer space. Our bed was comfortable. Pillows were great! Portland Roads has everything we needed - we couldn't help but have an awesome time!We had the most amazing time hopping from one island to another. We sailed, snorkeled and explored little coves near where we were anchored or moored in for the night. So many marine life encounters - dolphins, sting rays, turtles to name a few. Truly a delight for someone like us who love outdoors, photography and just being with nature. The Whitsundays is a phenomenal destination that must be seen this way and must be on everyone's bucket list.I highly recommend this trip with Portland Roads to anyone seeking an experience of a lifetime. It's simply one of those experiences we will never forget! Special thanks to John for making this trip smooth and easy - from the time we booked til the time we got back.

We had an absolutely fabulous experience when we had our week away on board Portland Road's Lucy last week.Lucy is an incredible craft - luxurious, well maintained, and extremely comfortable, whether at anchor or under full sail on a windy day in choppy seas!! We had an awesome time and thoroughly enjoyed sailing, motoring and living aboard her. Deano was our briefer and he too was exceptional. Highly recommended - WE would LOVE to do it again!
