We had the most amazing time onboard "Whitsunday Freedom". Everything exceeded expectations! All contact before the trip was excellent and very informative. The catamaran was stunning and so fancy! Boarding, briefing, contact whilst on water, and embarking was 10/10. I could not recommend this company highly enough. It was the best boating holiday we have ever had! We will definitely use this company again next time we come to the Whitsundays!M-A-G-N-I-F-I-C-A-N-T!!!

We just had our experience of a lifetime (truly), on the beautiful catamaran Ruby Sunday.The catamaran: We are a group of 4 adults with 3 young kids, and Ruby Sunday had everything we need. From kitchen to bedroom to the selection of movies that successfully occupied our kids when necessary!The people: We are super lucky to met and spent time with owner John - an absolutely amazing, genuine and kind person with a big heart. John went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety, we can't wait to be back to learn more about sailing from this guru! John's positive energy is contagious, evident by his success in baby-sitting my 7 month old niece who is very shy and usually cries when when she sees a stranger - but not with John! In terms of "operations", John and his team are extremely knowledgeable, responsive and professional, at the same time personable and considerate, which are precious qualities that often only small businesses can offer.The place: I don't need to rave about how beautiful Whitsundays is. But sailing on our own takes it to the next level where you can access places that you would not have been able to. Snorkelling in different bays, each with a different view and hence each a unique experience.A big big thank you to John and his team 🙏🏼 Congratulations on running such a successful, person-focused and high quality local business, that gave us this unforgettable experience! It was our first time sailing and like others who left comments here, we will be back!

We sailed LUCY for 7 days with our family of 4 adults and 3 teenagers. It didn’t disappoint! It was clean, well maintained and the training was thorough, clear and precise and very good value. Deano’s itinerary was a good guide for beginners and very enjoyable! We would highly recommend the experience and would love to sail again!! Huge thumbs up 👍😎

Highly recommended- such a fantastic week with Portland Roads on our holiday. After the disappointment of cancelling our NZ ski trip for the 2nd year in a row we decided on a ‘everyone should do it once’ sail in the Whitsundays. Well after a wonderful week on Lucy we are already planning our next trip. Totally exceeded expectations (which were already high) - beautiful and well equipped boat with so many spots to lounge for our 2 families, magnificent islands and gorgeous beaches and waters. As a group, we have talked about doing this for years. Finally we did it! What an amazing experience and what a wonderful business to do this with. From the booking experience to the training with Ed everything was done to the highest level and we felt conident in our travels and knew we could contact Ed for help and advice when needed. We are definitely going to do this again soon and highly recommend Portland Roads.
