We had the most epic week sailing the Whitsundays on Lawless and Southern Man. Travelling with our bridal party of 17 across 2 boats for our honeymoon / buddymoon. Highlights of the trip include snorkeling with turtles, having dolphins feed around our boat for an entire evening, and being part of the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. John and the team were incredible in ensuring our crew with no sailing experience felt confident in navigating our way around the Whitsunday islands. Their daily communication and advice made us feel safe throughout all conditions, and they ensured we experienced all the hidden gems that the Whitsundays have to offer. I can’t recommend Portland roads more highly. I cannot wait to do it again.

Sailing on ‘Portland Roads’ was the experience of a lifetime! We loved every minute of our stay on this beautiful vessel. The staff were exceptional - briefing & educating very novice sailors/ boaters before leaving Airlie Beach. We felt so supported during our entire trip and the staff were always happy to help with any queries or questions at any time of day. The boat was wonderfully clean, comfortable and luxurious! Our whole experience with Portland Roads exceeded our expectations.We also loved and appreciated how dedicated Portland Roads was to environmental sustainability and their acknowledgement and respect towards the traditional owners of the land - The Ngaro People. We can’t wait to come back!!

We spent an amazing week on the Whitsunday Freedom with John and Cathy and it was one we will remember forever. The boat is modern and comfortable, with lots of different areas to sit, lounge, relax, read a book, or play music through the speakers and have a dance, John will even dance with you!John and Cathy are professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the Whitsundays, we learnt so much and had the best time, they even looked after our 9 year old daughter one night so we could have a few hours to ourselves.Cathy’s cooking was amazing, and we never short of food, she even taught us to play cards. John is the best skipper you can find, his passion for the Whitsundays is contagious.We cannot thank the Portland Roads crew enough for one of the best weeks of our lives. A special thank you to John and Cathy for our amazing adventure around the Whitsundays islands and making us feel like family. Next time we’ll come in winter to see the whales.

Our 4th time with the wonderful team at Portland Roads and the 2nd time on Whitsunday Freedom, a beautiful boat with everything you need for a fantastic holiday. The Whitsundays turned on the weather for us, it really couldn’t have been better. Such a relaxing holiday with our friends in a spectacular part of the world. Sailing from location to location, swimming on the reefs with amazing coral and marine life.Really like how Portland Roads are connected to the local indigenous community and the great respect they have for the reef and its surrounds. Truly a well run outfit with great staff and boats to enjoy. Highly Recommended for a relaxing holiday in one of the best locations on earth.

Just had the most amazing 6 day journey on WhitsundayFreedom! Spectacular! The suggested routes ensured we saw all the big ticket places and wildlife - coral reefs brimming with fish, snorkel with turtles, sunsets with dolphins, Whitehaven, pristine beaches, indigenous sites, private coves, island walks and swimming opportunities.Freedom was easy to manage for our crew of 8 who had never operated a catamaran/yacht before. Bucket list tick in every way. Can't wait to experience more. Thanks Portland Roads!

Portland roads Whitsundays!!!!Wow wow wow! Absolutely amazing company to book your next trip with. The staff are amazing, the hospitality is amazing I cannot rate this company high enough.I went on this for my 30th birthday with my fiancé and best friend and his little family and we had the best time my 30th was one to remember. The service from Portland road Whitsundays and from G who looked after us was something everyone should experience.Thank you guys so much we all loved it!!
