We recently took LUCY on our adventure around the Whitsundays , we had a couple of 80 plus youngsters in our crew and were able to get around Lucy with ease and in and out of the water with the minimum of fuss . From the initial meet and greet with Brad to the daily updates and suggestions on best places for the weather conditions, his knowledge was invaluable and ensured we had a fabulous experience of the Whitsundays. During our rip we experienced the pleasure of several dolphin interactions , swam with George the Moari wrasse, snorkeled numerous beautiful coral reefs.I highly recommend Portland Roads and especially Lucy as she’s a very comfortable and safe home away from home. Looking forward to more adventures.

This is our second trip with Portland Roads. We have taken Ruby Sunday out in December 2022 and Lucy at Easter 2024. We had a wonderful time with absolutely no problems both trips. We have recently returned from chartering Lucy the Lagoon 42. We absolutely loved our trip around the Whitsundays. The commutation and correspondence from John prior to sailing was very comprehensive and informative, no questions were left unanswered. Our crew made up of four couples found Lucy to be really well equipped. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. The ice maker on board was excellent and the kitchen had everything we needed. The advice from Brad was spot on. He advised us daily as to the best places to sail to, inline with the daily forecast. He advised on the best moorings and anchorages and was very approachable and helpful at all times. Having Brads expert local knowledge was great. We would highly recommend Portland Roads. We pre ordered our supplies through Whitsunday Provisioning and would absolutely recommend this. The food was brilliant! One of the highlights was mooring at Chalkies Bay. Great moorings and snorkelling and a lovely beach. Portland Roads is a small company and the service from them was brilliant. We would highly recommend their company and Lucy!

We have just returned from an amazing adventure on the Portland Roads ultra luxury catamaran Whitsunday Freedom. Was the weather perfect? No, Did that matter? Not one bit! Every facet of contact with this company was excellent: all communication prior to our charter, the training and support we received from the vessel manager Brad was all top notch! And that's before we even mention the boat and the amazing playground of The Whitsunday Islands! Everything was way beyond our expectations and we would recommend this type of adventure holiday for all. As two mature couples with mixed boating experience, we felt safe and supported by the Portland Roads team at all times. The vessel was extremely well kept and equipped - particular mention goes to the ice maker and air conditioning! We definitely can't wait to get back!

Had the BEST time touring the Whitsundays with Portland Roads! Our incredible briefer Brad looked after us with great advice and recommendations, and the Whitsunday Freedom was an absolute delight to call home for a week - immaculately looked after and all the comforts we needed. Incredible. Brad made it so easy for a pack of near land-lubbers and was so attentive and helpful throughout. The boat, Whitsunday Freedom, was spectacular and had everything we needed and more. The itinerary Brad helped us with gave us everything we wanted from our trip, and during February, in the offseason, we felt like we nearly had the whole place to ourselves. Looking forward to coming back and using Portland Roads again next year.
